I don't know about the actual reason why the profiles you reported got suspended, I'm kida lazy to read through all the site rules right now. Anyways, banning the profile will not stop this guy from creating new accounts. Notice the last letter 'x' in each profile name that I have posted, you can guess that it's the same guy.
Easiest way to control him would be ReCaptcha because there's nowhere around it other than manually solving each puzzle that a bot won't be able to do, at least until this guy doesn't have an advanced bot AI that can solve it too lol. Don't know if the admins are working on adding ReCaptcha so as far as it is now, there's no stopping the hacker. ![]() ![]() |

I don't think there's someone who's able to program a bot/AI to solve a random ReCaptcha. There are claims that some did, but Google always patches those vulnerabilities. At least such an AI isn't available for the public to use, if there was, those who work at Google will probably know about it since they developed ReCaptcha.
Having mentioned that, it's not about stopping the hacker, it's about making him tired going through each puzzle to register and add each server. That would be effective than banning him repeatedly and still having the site open to public without ReCaptcha. ![]() ![]() |

maxi605 wrote: As far as i am aware, that is not the case. The thread / FAQ that you linked, also has no mention of such. Feel free to quote which part implies that it suggests otherwise. maxi605 wrote: Just so you know, users can add multiple servers to GameTracker, which are unclaimed. These, may even be servers that are always 'fake'. It happens a lot more frequently than you'd think. Therefore, it would not be a sensible decision to ban / suspend user account on a whim. The server is either banned / deranked and that's the end of it (once reported). No one has to get hurt in the process. |

Hello gametracker team,
As you know recently there has been an explosive and uncontrollable growth of fake player servers which modify various files of the game client making it autoconnect to romanian server boost networks. On top of that some of these servers even found a way to download and execute files via a MOTD window exploit, requiring no user interaction and infecting people's operating systems with god knows what! This is very scary dangerous stuff and slowly but surely will ruin the whole CS 1.6 community on GT since no one will dare to join any server and risk infecting his whole computer just to play an old game. The solution I propose is to simply disable the feature of choosing/changing server flag/country for 1.6 servers and reset all existing servers to their detected by IP country This way at least it will become a localized problem for distant countries with cheap-ass VPS hosting where nobody plays 1.6 anyway and to the romanian hackers in their homecountry ![]() Thank you for the attention The Original Adult Oriented Counter-Strike 1.6 Community Only For Mature High-Skill Players Established 2008 |

The growth its becouse of inactivity from the administration of the site, removing the flags and blocking them isn't gonna help, i mean, i'll help the 'new' players to not connect to those servers but the fake servers will still be there, the only solution is to have prevention, auto-detection and activity on the reports, there's ideas already posted on the forum but the administration never decided to apply them sadly.

Well until they manage to do auto detection and the other stuff, this is an easy relief at least locally for each country.
Personally I don't care about the global ranking, however when new players in my country do a google search for servers, open the gametracker page and are presented with a ton of high-ranking fake player servers out of nowhere displacing the normal ones, there is a huge percentage of people who enter them, get infected, and then never want to see the game again!
