In the Epoch mod, we can always build base in the server, protect our gears. I like the crafting system in this mod(It reminds me of Minecraft).

Hey Dwjiang, thank you for posting those kind words. I see that your base is coming along pretty good! Pretty soon you will have a small fortress! Also, congratulations on winning the server event "Race Day". You not only won, but you were the only one to actually survive and cross the finish line!

RACE DAY

Our server hosted an event this weekend. The event is called "Race Day". Basically it is a race along the coastal road. Anyone can join the race, vehicles are provided, I usually just teleport people to the event so that they don't have to drive.

Anyways... the video is finally done uploading, so I wanted to share it here. For some reason, posting youtube videos on this forum does not work like it should, so I will just put in the link.

We have added two new gunship helicopters to the Epoch server:





One chopper has a door gunner and drops grendades. The other (larger pic) allows the pilot to fire twin machine guns and also drop grenades.

This weekend, server events will be held on both the Cherno and Epoch servers.

Cherno:

Heli Battles!
Spin up your little birds and dog fight against another player. Little birds will be provided (temporary spawns that do not survive restart) Winner moves on to next round. Fights will take place over NWAF. Rearming and Repairing is not allowed. If neither heli is destroyed when both are out of ammo, then vehicle with LEAST damage wins. Players who loose connection and crash, loose the fight. Spectators welcome, but no PvP at NWAF (other than the pilots who are dog fighting). Winner of the battle takes home a private chopper for 30 days.

Friday (today) March 7th @ 8:30PM MST (continues on Saturday if no winner by restart)
Saturday March 8th @ 6:30 PM MST (continues on Sunday if no winner by restart)
Sunday March 9th @ 4:30 PM MST

Heli Dogfight pilots must sign up HERE, you will be put in a bracket.


Epoch

Swinging Deathmatch!
Hatchets, Machetes, and Baseball Bats will spawn inside junkyard, lots of them. Players will start out in the four corners of the yard. At the "GO" players will rush to find hatchets and then start swinging them. Last man standing wins a briefcase of gold.
Tents provided at battle site to store your gear in, must enter junkyard unarmed. Suggest you leave valuable gear at home. Teleports provided for dead players who need to return to tents to get gear. No other PvP allowed for a 1000 m radius around junk yard (this will allow players to enter and leave unharmed)
Admin will ask who wants to participate at start and teleport you to the area.
Friday (today) March 7th @ 10PM MST

Crossbow Deathmatch!
Crossbows and arrows will spawn inside the fight yard, lots of them. Players will start out at the two entrances (by flags). At the "GO" players will rush to find crossbows and arrows, loading and shooting as they see fit. Last man standing wins a safe.
Tents provided at battle site to store your gear in, must enter fight yard unarmed. Suggest you leave valuable gear at home. Race Day!
Race along the coastal road. We will be driving hilux offroad trucks this time. New obstacles to overcome too. Players can bring repair items (extra tires, engine, etc) and fuel with them (Winner takes home his choice of briefcase or safe. No PvP along race route, but bumping other players in vehicles is allowed. Try not to run over players - but vehicles have the right-of-way so stay off the road if you are on foot.
Vehicles provided. Teleport provided to race event. Helicopter drop off provided for players after the race. If you die while racing, you can choose to spawn and go on foot or request teleport to end of race and take helicopter drop off to a location of your choice.
Admin will ask who wants to participate at start and teleport you to the area.
Sunday March 9th @ 5:30PM MST

This is Frost, and I'm a regular Cherno player for the Walking Dead. I find this server to be the best around! There's always something fun to do on this server! There are two missions that pop up on your screen. You can choose to do either one! One of them is called Base Battle. That's a sort of King of the Hill pvp zone where players fight over a valuable loot crate that spawns after so much time. It's really intense, especially when you bring friends! Even a fresh spawn can end up with the best weapons and explosives and pretty much a full set of gear if you can play stealthily enough around players! If you want to gear up quickly or fight other players, Base Battle is where you should go! Another mission you can choose to do is NPC Fortress. This is basically a TON of A.I. guarding a base that has the most powerful guns in the server stashed away somewhere inside! You can get a group of friendlies on the server or just friends you know and take the NPC Fortress down! It's not hard to do if you work together, but it's really fun and intense! There are a lot more things to mention for this server but I'm just pointing out a few that stick out for me. There are crash sites scattered across the map that can spawn anything from heavy machine guns and strong sniper rifles to blood bags, tents, and so much more! If you wanted, you could go to each of these crash sites and gear up pretty quickly for NPC Fortress or Base Battle. All you need to see the location of crash sites is a radio, but you can also hear the explosion from the crash like a mile away! So, they aren't hard to find at all. I think the best part about the Cherno server is it's variety of players. You have players that prefer to team up with others and are very friendly. Also, you have the bandit players that are usually very few in numbers (probably because they don't trust anyone ) Usually when a bandit strikes a team of friendly players, he doesn't live very long to tell about it! I think this server is the most fun for me when there are a lot of players on doing different things. Heli fights across the map... planes battling against mi-17s... finding a sniper on top of a hill trying to snipe people in Elektro during basebattle and counter sniping him... 12 players teaming up and riding all in one bus across the map blaring the Disney guy bus song! hahahah so much fun! Blowing up all of Cherno with over 100 satchels! There are a billion other things to do in this server. Another thing really neat on the server is Donator Perks... basically if you go to the website for the Walking Dead, it will explain more. You can get a house with a garage where you can store vehicles... you can also get your very own private chopper! There is also a unique skin morph pack that lets you switch skins every so often from like a ghillie suit to so many other skins. There are also storage crates which I find to be very helpful for storing items in the server. Another thing I think is really important to mention is Nick, the Admin for the server, who is ALWAYS helpful and there for you when someone needs help. He is extremely reliable, friendly, and courteous to all the players. Nick adds a lot of fun to the server by hosting intense heli battles with great prizes! Like I said before, this is the best server around in my opinion. I hope to see more players join it, soon! I'm more than happy to help any of the fresh spawns out with finding gear!
