You know tv-serie HeartBeat? Shot close to Whitby?

The snow makes even the local iron/steelworks look rather erm nice?
Having the biggest blast furnace in europe on your doorstep may not seem pleasant but it is our heritage and livelihood.
WHY THEN ARE THEY CLOSING IT ! (dont get me started).
Mind we do have Captain Cook's picturesque Whitby 20mins south east and Scarborough another 20mins further on, plus the North York National Park 15mins to the south. The area between me and the furnace is a S.S.S.I. (Site of Special Scientific Interest) nothing ever grows there ! lol only kidding, wildlife & fauna (and great crested newts spring to mind Rog) ! lol he knows all about them.
